Please note - each radio is sold individually

The Rocky Talkie is a license-free radio designed and tested in the Colorado Rockies. Created with climbers and skiers in mind, the radio is suited for any rugged adventure where communication is critical.

A specialized lithium-ion battery provides over 3 days of battery life, even in very cold conditions (-20F). For enhanced durability, the radio has a shatterproof LED screen and thermoplastic protective covering. Unlike the fragile plastic clips of other radios, the Rocky Talkie easily secures to backpacks and harnesses using an ultra-light carabiner and back-up leash.

The radio transmits the maximum power legally allowed for use without a license (2-watts). The max range is over 25 miles, however, 1 to 5 miles is more typical in backcountry terrain. For more info on range, please see our range testing video or walkie talkie range blog post.

The Rocky Talkie is ready to use out of the box and requires zero configuration. The electronics are simple and reliable - the radio has 5 buttons that are easy to understand while still supporting the critical advanced features (such as privacy codes to prevent outside interference).

Our product is backed by a 2 year warranty. If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us or refer to the FAQ page.

Can’t wait to get a second one!

Well it was nice to see that on-line reviews got this one right. It does what it says it does. It’s built to handle the conditions. I used my brother-in-law’s 2nd one on a 18 day overlanding trip. We were in two vehicles and made coordinating between us easer. I like how it well it worked and all it’s features so much, I bought one. Now I want a 2nd one. You gotta have two to tango. Nice product guys!

    All Around Great Product

Really hard to find something wrong with these radios. I’ve used them while backcountry skiing, multi-pitch climbs and just in a car convoy on a road trip and I’ve never had an issue with them.

Multiple uses and great customer service

I purchased 4 Rocky Talkies and spent the winter using them for back country skiing. They were great and then used them on a 9 day pack raft trip. One of them would turn on but not receive or transmit and the costumer service was prompt and after a brief troubleshooting attempt replaced the radio. Great item and service. Much better than our BCA’s

Incredible Customer Service Team and Fantastic Product/Quality for the $$$

The Rocky Talkie radios are absolutely perfect for my needs. I own a Fly Fishing Charter company that is wade fishing from the beaches of the Florida Panhandle and Rocky Talkies allow me to communicate with my clients if they are on fish while I am walking and scouting areas nearby. The range is WAY more than I need and transmissions are clear as a bell. The charge lasts for days on end before recharging is needed. I've also used them to communicate with my spouse while I'm fishing big river water and she is back at the vehicle reading, it's a great way to quickly communicate my whereabouts for piece of mind. The uses are endless. Love Rocky Talkies.
