The Expedition Radio uses a specialized, cold-resistant lithium-ion battery designed for extended backcountry use. This 1800 mAh battery provides 4-6 days of use on a single charge, with around 150 hours of standby time. Batteries come included with each radio, and this replacement is perfect for keeping your existing Expedition Radio ready for extended missions.
Swapping the battery is simple and requires only a small PH1 Phillips-head screwdriver (radios purchased before February 2024 may require a T6 Torx). Watch this video to see the simple process of swapping out batteries.
