Many reviews mention its effectiveness for skiing and snowboarding, with users appreciating how they can keep their main radio protected while having easy access to the mic. The device performs well in harsh weather conditions, with users noting clear audio quality even during snowfall. Game Changer

I use my Rocky Talkies for climbing. Our spot is quite surrounded by nature and it gets very windy, so sometimes you just can’t listen to you partners, or barely see them because of the trees.

    Awesome accessory for BC skiing!

Works great. Super stoked on this mic for backcountry skiing. If you’re thinking about pulling the trigger, do ti! It’s worth it.

Only thing I will say is that if you are getting on really steep terrain, like some ice climbing on the way to your ski line, and have this on your pack’s shoulder strap, it’s really easy to accidentally press the transmit button as you reach up or turn your head. Not sure if this is just operator error but not a big deal regardless.

Thank you so much for your review of the Mountain Radio Hand Mic! We’re stoked to hear it’s working well and a solid addition to your backcountry skiing adventures. Really appreciate your note about steep terrain—those kinds of approaches can definitely affect how gear sits. We’ve found that adjusting the mic slightly up or down the shoulder strap, or switching it to the other side, usually helps avoid accidental transmissions. Terrain can definitely call for slight changes in gear placement, and we’ve reached out directly to make sure your setup is working as smoothly as possible. Thanks again for sharing your feedback!

How did I live without it.

Got a set of the mountain radios as I’m getting into back country skiing and they’ve worked great! But also started using them around the resort/ski area too during family trips and such and they’ve been a game changer. Meeting up with friends/family in the mountain, or making sure the kiddos are picked up from ski school on time has never been easier. Definitely recommend the hand mic. Originally got one with the pair but quickly determined a second is in order. Easy to use, reliable, 10/10 recommend.

    Perfect family ski mountain communication

We use these radios as a family while skiing. They allow for my eldest to have a little autonomy on the mountain while being able to check in with us to ensure safety and location. Great mountain radios!
