I have two of each radios offered by Rocky Talkie. They are all great radios. Ruggedness and battery life were a top priority for me. These fit that bill well. I’ve used other brands but these are the only radios I’ll recommend. I use them for SAR missions, hunting and anything else outdoors. The hand mic is great! The PTT button feels less robust then I thought it would be.

Plain and simple, it's a hand mic that can be located anywhere, stashing the radio in more protected and less cumbersome locations. The smart mic allows you to alter between your two channels with the A/B button, or change volume with the "+" or "-" buttons. The alligator clip is strong, which is nice as other mics I frequently have falling off.

The entire thing is waterproof. That's on the money. Nice work Rocky Talkie.

I’ve owned my Rocky Talkies for a few months and love them. My buddies each have their own hand mics; one with a Rocky Talkie, the other with a budget hand mic. After a couple trips it was apparent that the Rocky Talkie hand mic just sounded better, easier to hear clearly, and we weren’t afraid to take it fishing with us. I just got back from a week long trip up to the San Juan mountains after buying my own hand mic and I have zero regrets! I’m sure I’ve also converted two of my buddies to upgrade to Rocky Talkies as well! My only recommendation would be that they include stickers with every purchase :)
