Great hand-mic. Haven’t put it through its paces yet but have gotten it out on a few hunting adventures and it works great. Love the volume control on it so I don’t have to take off my pack to adjust output.

Wanted to have these for upland hunting and hiking. It's nice to have the radio mounted on the back of my pack and have the mic on my non-shooting shoulder. The mic has good volume and the speaker is clear, it's somehow much more convenient than using the radio handset while hunting with a pack. While the radio is heavy, the mic is nice and light yet still seems rugged, and the connection to the radio is solid and weathertight.

I bought two of these at the beginning of a 5-week trip to Park City. We used them so much that I bought another one when more people arrived. Using them on the mountain was amazing... but using them in the supermarket and around town was just as helpful. The batteries last *forever*... I think we charged them every four days or so. The 5W range is ridiculous. My girlfriend was able to contact us on the mountain from inside our apartment 4 miles away. Having the hand mic was critical for talking while skiing and on lifts and not being scared to drop anything. We also used the Privacy Code and Dual Channel Watch to isolate conversations, so thanks for including that. This product is very well thought-out. I'll inevitably buy more next season as the size of our ski group grows.
Side note... we do a lot of sailing trips, too... can you *please* make a VHF version for sailors? Nauty Talkie, perhaps? The handheld VHF radios out there are terrible compared to Rocky Talkie. You set the bar high!
